About

An archive, not a court

Controversia documents public controversies with their sources, their exact status and their context.

01The project

Controversia is a documented archive of public controversies involving named people and organisations. For each profile it brings together the documented facts, their legal status, the defence's position and the corresponding sources.

The aim is simple: to let anyone quickly find out what is established, what is alleged, and where the information comes from.

02Principles

Accuracy over speed. Visible sources over assertions. Precise legal statuses over shortcuts. The presumption of innocence is respected. No moral rating.

03Independence

The project may be supported by optional donations. Donations give no right to any particular editorial treatment: no addition, removal or change to any profile.
