Prolonged absence from public television and longstanding dispute with RTM

After more than twenty-five years of strong television exposure, Abderrahim Tounsi ('Abderraouf') gradually disappeared from television. He attributed his years out of the spotlight to event organisers, venue costs and, above all, a dispute with RTM after an outburst on live television because he had been unable to finish a performance; in 2010, he was still accusing both public channels of refusing his work.
