Rape of Ellen ten Damme in Morocco: three-year sentence on appeal in the combined case

Conviction (not final)

The Amsterdam Court of Appeal found it proven that, in 2014 in Morocco, Ali B had pushed Ellen ten Damme onto a bed and penetrated her with his penis. Unlike the first-instance court, which had found attempted rape, the appeal court classified the conduct as completed rape. The overall sentence imposed for this offence and the one concerning Naomi was three years.
