2025–2026: Aggravated fraud trial over pandoro and Easter eggs, followed by dismissal (proscioglimento) after aggravating factor rejected and complaint withdrawn

Case dismissed / dropped

Ferragni was sent for trial before a Milan court for aggravated fraud concerning the pandoro and Easter egg campaigns. In January 2026, the judge rejected the aggravating factor involving the vulnerability of online consumers; the offence was reclassified as simple fraud, requiring a complaint to remain in force. As Codacons had withdrawn its complaint following the 2024 agreement, the judge ordered dismissal (proscioglimento) because the offence was extinguished. Reasons filed in April confirmed this procedural rationale.

2024: Antitrust investigation into Dolci Preziosi Easter eggs closed following binding commitments and charitable payments

Investigation

The AGCM examined commercial communications relating to Ferragni Easter eggs in 2021 and 2022, suspected of suggesting that purchases directly financed the social enterprise I Bambini delle Fate. Ferragni-linked companies and Cerealitalia proposed commitments that were made binding, including at least 1.2 million euros over three years from Fenice/TBS and 100,000 euros from Cerealitalia, alongside a permanent separation between commercial and charitable activities.

2023: Antitrust authority sanctions Ferragni-linked companies over Balocco 'Pink Christmas' pandoro

Civil / administrative proceedings

The Italian competition authority found that the 'Pink Christmas' pandoro campaign had led consumers to believe that their purchases would contribute to a donation to Regina Margherita hospital, although Balocco had already made a fixed donation of 50,000 euros before the campaign. Fenice and TBS Crew, companies managing Ferragni-related brands and rights, were fined 400,000 and 675,000 euros respectively; Balocco was fined 420,000 euros.
