Parmatour collapse: convicted at first instance of fraudulent bankruptcy, judgment overturned then finally acquitted

Acquitted / conviction overturned

Vacchi was prosecuted for nearly eighteen years in a strand of the Parmalat/Parmatour collapse concerning the sale of Last Minute Tour. An initial sentence of three years and six months was overturned on appeal because the act relied upon differed from the one charged. At the retrial, the Parma court acquitted him in 2021 because the alleged act had not occurred.
