2023 sexual misconduct case: private settlement, retirement and Fuji TV committee finding of "sexual violence", contested by his lawyers

No legal proceedings

A woman linked to Fuji TV accused Nakai of non-consensual sexual conduct during an incident in June 2023. Nakai acknowledged a "trouble" and private settlement while denying that he had used violence. In January 2025, he retired from show business. On 31 March 2025, an independent committee commissioned by Fuji concluded, using the WHO definition, that "sexual violence" had occurred in a work-related context. The scandal triggered a major crisis at Fuji TV.
