Suisse Secrets and post-2011 Swiss investigation: Credit Suisse accounts, initial suspicions and overall closure without charges

No legal proceedings

Suisse Secrets identified several Credit Suisse accounts associated with Yasseen Mansour. In 2011, Ahram Online reported, citing the Egyptian asset recovery committee, that Swiss authorities were investigating Mansour as part of broader suspicions of money laundering and criminal organisation involving the Mubarak-era elite. In April 2022, Swiss prosecutors closed the overall eleven-year Egyptian investigation without charging anyone, citing insufficient evidence to establish the illicit origin of funds or suspicion of money laundering.

Palm Hills: public land contract ruled unlawful, allegations of undervaluation and subsequent criminal acquittal

Acquitted / conviction overturned

A legal committee found that a land contract awarded to Palm Hills breached the law because the land had been sold directly, without an auction and below market value. Mansour also faced criminal proceedings.
