Decades of political donations to both major parties and debate over billionaires' access to decision-makers

No legal proceedings

Pratt Holdings became one of Australia's largest private political donors. Published data show donations of 15,9 million dollars from 1998 through 2022-23, more to the Coalition than Labor, followed by further major contributions: nearly 4 million before the 2022 election, 1 million to Labor in 2022-23, 1 million to Labor in 2023-24 and, in 2024-25, 2 million to Labor and 1 million to the Liberals. The sums repeatedly reignited debate over the access and influence of extremely large donors.

Sensitive nuclear submarine information allegedly disclosed by Trump and passed on by Pratt to dozens of people

No legal proceedings

According to ABC News and sources familiar with special counsel Jack Smith's investigation, Donald Trump allegedly told Pratt in 2021 the purported number of warheads carried by US nuclear submarines and their ability to approach undetected. Pratt reportedly then discussed the conversation with at least 45 people, including journalists, employees, Australian officials and former prime ministers. Investigators interviewed Pratt at least twice.
