2027 presidential election: Autain positions herself for a joint primary and accuses Mélenchon of irresponsible strategy

No legal proceedings

Following her split with LFI, Autain positions herself in favour of a left-wing primary independent of Mélenchon's authority. In May 2026, she describes an independent candidacy by Jean-Luc Mélenchon as irresponsible and considers that it downplays the risk from the far right.
