Bitter breakdown with Massimiliano Allegri: insults, exclusion against Porto and later account of a physical confrontation

No legal proceedings

After Juventus–Palermo in February 2017, Bonucci and Massimiliano Allegri exchanged insults on the touchline. Bonucci was subsequently left out of the squad for the Champions League match against Porto and watched the game from the stands on a stool that became symbolic of the episode. In 2024, Bonucci claimed that the confrontation had also turned physical in the dressing room before staff members separated them.
